Setting off from town this morning to hike up to a mountain lake, Easedale Tarn
Through a valley on a stone path
Looks old, but the bridge was built in 1999
A few big grey clouds, but they kept going the other direction
The path follows a series of waterfalls up to the tarn
The path was rocky, but the footing was good and the climb gradual
Lots of other hikers out today, families, small children, dogs...
First view of the tarn, after about 3.5 k hike
Other paths went off from here, but we had lunch and started back down
Other hikers heading back down the other side of the waterfall and into the next valley
Views on the trip back down
Lots of rock walls and pens for the sheep
The weather cleared up again by late afternoon - this is a view from the front of our B&B
Late afternoon sun on the hills
